This was my final exam project 12 years ago: an imaginary magazine inspired by the trashy, chaotic aesthetic of the controversial duo Die Antwoord. I wanted it to feel as if they could have made it themselves, so every graphic and piece of lettering was created entirely by hand using ink on paper, long before AI became part of the creative process.

While building my portfolio now, 12 years later, I noticed the similarities between this project and this website, and realized this project still very much feels like me. Even though I nowadays get a lot of joy out of creating cleaner, more commercial designs, I still felt this one deserved a place here too.
